Women of TIOH (WoTIOH), an auxiliary group of TIOH, exists to promote connections and Jewish values through service, fundraising and activities.

Women of TIOH are HERe for you and each other.
WoTIOH provides you with the opportunity to put your talents, time and gifts to work for many causes, both large and small. We enable you to enrich your life as well as that of our congregation and community.

Women of TIOH are HERe to support TIOH.
Through our resources, personal and financial, we serve, sponsor, donate, host, organize, participate &/or lead at TIOH.

Passover Yizkor

Tuesday, April 30 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am
Yizkor is a memorial prayer service traditionally observed four times during the year— on Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Pesach, and Shavuot. Temple Israel of Hollywood partners with Congregation Kol Ami to offer a shacharit service with Torah reading to reflect, share, and honor the memory of loved ones who have passed. Lead by Cantorial Soloist Shelly Fox. Please join us in our Nussbaum Sanctuary.

Social Action Sundays

Sunday, May 5 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Social Action Sundays are a time for families to connect and participate in social action activities appropriate for children (and adults!) of all ages and are intended to engage children and adults in providing direct assistance to our community members who are experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, and related hardships. Happening every first Sunday of the month from January to June. Each Sunday has its own unique theme and sign up form.

RAC-CA & Dayenu Climate Justice Campaign Launch

Sunday, May 5 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
TIOH is hosting the Southern California regional campaign launch of RAC-California and Dayenu’s climate justice campaign. This event will provide an opportunity to plan, build community, and take meaningful action to address climate justice together. We will learn about the important legislation passed by the California legislature to protect communities living and working close to oil wells and about the Referendum on the November ballot sponsored by the oil and gas industry, which seeks to overturn those protections.

Yom HaShoah screening of Vishniac with Q&A

Monday, May 6 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
A father’s passion. A daughter’s inheritance. A world on the edge of destruction. VISHNIAC delves into the person and story behind the photos, framing Vishniac’s legacy as a key modernist photographer and preserver of memory. Through his stunning images, VISHNIAC introduces new audiences to a lost world quickly fading from our grasp. Produced by TIOH member Roberta Grossman and written by TIOH member Sophie Sartain, who will join with editor Chris Callister for a Q&A after the screening.
